Synchronising updates manually

You can select to synchronise updates manually which will allow you to synchronise at will, rather than to a set schedule.

To specify manual synchronisation

From the left-hand pane, expand Software, and then expand Windows Updates.
From the left-hand pane, choose the WSUS server.
From the right-hand pane, click the Settings button.
Choose the Scheduling tab.
Ensure Synchronise Manually is selected.
Click OK.

To manually synchronise updates

From the right-hand pane, click the Synchronise Now button.
