Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) will be ending support for Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.0 and 1.1 on 31 October 2024. For more detailed information, please read the following blog post from Microsoft:

This Microsoft change directly affects how the RM Unify AD Sync service communicates with RM Unify. Without action, RM Unify AD Sync may stop providing user updates to RM Unify and other services, such as RM SafetyNet.
Action required: In advance of the deadline imposed by Microsoft on 31 October 2024, you will need to run an application on your RM Unify AD Sync server to set the use of TLS version 1.2 as the default on that server. Please see DWN9585075 for instructions on how to download and install the RM update on your server.
Important:
Installing this update on your server will immediately set TLS version 1.2 as the default for all locally installed 32-bit .NET Framework 3.5 applications. If your server hosts any application that does not support a minimum of TLS 1.2, they should failover to an earlier version of TLS (i.e. 1.1) and renegotiate the connection.
RM takes the security of the RM Unify platform and its users very seriously, so you should be aware that we reserve the right to end the support for TLS 1.0 and 1.1 before the 31 October 2024 cut-off date, should our security posture demand it. Therefore, it is recommended that you install this update as soon as possible.
If you are no longer using RM Unify AD sync, we recommend that you follow the steps in the relevant AD Sync section of our RM Unify offboarding help article TEC5812011 from the Other Useful Articles section below to ensure that it is fully removed.
Please note that you will need to use a support.rm.com account registered at a school which has an RM Unify licence to access the download article.
