This article provides the download and instructions for installing and using the RM CC5 Readiness tool on a Community Connect® 4 (CC4) network.
This tool can be used to asses your existing CC4 computers to ensure that they meet these requirements.
The tool contains a CC4 package that will return a pass/fail status of CC5 compatibility. After assigning to a computer if the package assignment is successful, the computer is compatible with CC5 and Windows 11. A failed assignment means that the computer is not compatible.
For computers to be used with CC5 and Windows 11, they must meet the minimum requirements listed below.
Given below are the minimum criteria that the package will be assessing:
High Definition (720p) 9" diagonally more 8 bits per color channel
Internet connectivity
Internet connectivity is required for all CC5 Computers Additionally, connectivity is required for the CC5 Readiness Tool
*Please note that the above are Microsoft's minimum specifications for Windows 11. For best results, at least 8 GB RAM and 256 GB of disk storage space is recommended.
Platforms
This article applies to Connect on Prem (CoP) networks, i.e. networks where the CC4 First server is running Microsoft Windows® Server® 2016 or Windows Server 2019.

Again, type Y to confirm what has been entered is correct.
When prompted, click Continue. When prompted, click Finish.
From within the RM Management Console (RMMC), assign the RM CC5 Client Readiness Check package to all CC4 computers.
** Your RM Customer ID number can be found by logging on to https://www.rm.com/support; the ID is displayed on the top right-hand of the banner.
Reviewing the results
The results of the compatibility check can be reviewed in the RMMC's Package Assignment Overview. Packages that have failed assignments are not compatible with CC5 or Windows 11.
The CC5 Readiness Tool also reports to a central .csv file that can be reviewed using other tools, such as Microsoft Excel. The .csv report also details the reason why a computer has failed the compatibility check.
The .csv file can be found at D:\RMPublic\CC4_Computers_CC5Compatible.csv on the CC4 First server.
Reading the report and remediations
If a device is marked as NotReady for CC5 in the report, the Fail Reason column will detail the reason that a device isn't currently meeting the compatibility measure.
In some cases, you may see that the Fail Reason column details more than one measure, in which case, each measure will need to be addressed to make the device compatible.
In some cases, some devices that are currently not meeting the minimum compatibility specification(s) could be remediated to meet them. See the table below for potential remediations:
FailReason
Explanation
Remediation
Storage
Insufficient Disk Storage Space
New or replace drive that meets minimum size
Memory
Insufficient RAM
Additional or replace RAM that meets minimum size
TPM
Trusted Platform Module is either disabled isn't TPM version 2.0
Check the device's BIOS settings and enable TPM if currently disabled. If the device doesn't support TPM or only supports an older version, then it will need to be replaced.
Processor
Insufficient CPU Core Count Insufficient CPU Clock Speed
Isn't included in Microsoft's Compatible Processor list
Replace CPU with a CPU that meets minimum core count, clock speed, or generation minimum specifications. Unfortunately, in many cases such as mobile devices, this may not be possible as a motherboard replacement may also be required. In these instances, the device will need to be replaced.
SecureBoot
Device does not support SecureBoot or SecureBoot is currently disabled
Check device's BIOS settings. If possible, enable SecureBoot.
