Removing a package or product from a computer

When you remove a package, it is uninstalled from the selected computers in the background.

You can remove a package from individual computers, or all computers within a location. However, a package can only be removed from the place where it was originally assigned; for example, if you assigned a package to a location, you must remove it from the location rather than the individual computers within that location.

To remove a package or product from a computer

  1. From the left-hand pane, expand Picture of the Software icon Software, then expand Picture of the Packages & Products icon Packages & Products.

  2. Choose All Packages, or All Products.

  3. From the right-hand pane, right-click the package or product and from the menu, choose Unassign.

  4. Under 'Target computers and locations', select the computers from which the package is to be unassigned, and then click Remove.

  5. Click OK.

Note

  • Removed packages will be uninstalled before assigned packages are installed on a computer.
