Viewing the packages and products assignment overview

The assignment overview enables you to see the packages assigned to computer or locations on your network.

The overview is displayed in a grid format in the right-hand pane: computers or locations form the rows, and packages and products form the columns. The status of each package assigned to a computer is indicated by an icon; these icons are explained at the bottom of the window.

You can view the details of individual package assignments from the overview, and if necessary, choose to retry or cancel the assignment. For more information, refer to Related Topics.

To view the assignment overview

  1. From the left-hand pane, expand Picture of the Software icon Software, then expand Picture of the Packages & Products icon Packages & Products and choose Picture of the Assignment Overview icon.Assignment Overview.

  2. To display the assignment overview for your locations, tick the Show Locations box.

  3. To display the assignment overview for your computers, ensure the Show Locations box is clear.

  4. To manage the packages and products that are displayed in the overview, select the appropriate cell(s) in the grid. For more information, refer to Related Topics.

Note

  • You can also view package assignments from the RM Management Console Start page. Click the Software icon Picture of the Start page Software icon and from the list of tasks, select 'View package assignments'.
