Summary
Explains how to enrol Chromebooks.
Symptoms
Description
To enforce the device policies set in your Google Admin console, you need to enrol your Chrome OS devices.
Procedure
Turn on your Chromebook device.
A welcome page is displayed. Click 'Get started'.
The next page shows you the available networks. Click the one you would like to configure.
To get connected, enter the password for your Wi-Fi network in the Password field.
Accept the 'Google terms of service'. Clear the "Optional: Help improve Chrome OS features and performance by automatically sending diagnostic and usage data to Google" box.
In the next page, at the bottom, click 'Enterprise enrollment' (highlighted in the image below). If you are not able to see the 'Enterprise enrollment' button, press Ctrl + Alt + E.
The 'Enterprise enrollment' screen appears. Provide the username and password of an account with enterprise enrolment rights. You can use the super admin account.
Optionally, you can set an asset identifier and a device location.
Click Next.
Click Done. This completes the enterprise enrolment of your Chromebook.
The Chromebook can now be handed over to the user and they would be able to sign in with their Google account.
