Purpose of front panel buttons on the RM DualServ 200 series servers

Symptoms

Information about the front panel buttons which are not described in the RM DualServ manual.



Procedure

NMI Button
This button generates an interrupt for use in diagnostic programs and user written programs.  It serves no other purpose and will appear to do nothing if pressed.

ID Button
This button makes the ID LED on the front panel flash for a minute. This is useful in diagnostic operations and over the phone technical support. The button serves no other purpose.
