Summary
A step-by-step guide on how to host your domain name with RM.
Procedure
Setting up your domain name
For the domains '.sch.uk', '.co.uk' and 'org.uk', follow the steps given below:
Hosting a domain name is a chargeable service, the customer will need to order it either online or through their RM account manager. Also, requests can be emailed to ifladmin@rm.com.
The Connectivity Services Coordination team will acknowledge the order.
As an initial step for hosting a domain, the Connectivity Coordinator requires the domain name and domain Zone file.
Once the Connectivity Coordinator receives the details, a service call will be raised with the technical engineers to set up the details against the respective domain.
Following the completion of the setup, the Connectivity Coordinator requires the current domain ISP to release the TAG of domain to RMPLC. Once TAG is moved to RMPLC, we will amend the name servers accordingly.
Once TAG and Nameserver are successfully transferred under RM, the Connectivity Coordinator will complete the order.
For hosting the domains '.com', '.NET', '.org', '.ac.uk' and '.gov.uk', RM requires the 'Authorisation code' from the current ISP.
Possible Issues
The Connectivity Services Coordination team requires five working days to set up your domain.
