Summary
Explains why an error message is received when changing email addresses in bulk via a csv file in RM Unify.
Symptoms
You are updating your RM Unify users' email addresses in bulk via a csv file upload (as per TEC8279830 from the Other Useful Articles section below). Your establishment is not federated to Microsoft 365 and/or Google; however, following the csv file upload, you receive the below error:
"UnifyEmailAddress domain must match the federated domain."
Cause
This is due to a known issue in RM Unify that prevents updating email addresses via a csv file unless the establishment is federated.
Procedure
It is still possible to update the RM Unify users' email addresses directly in the RM Unify Management Console.
Sign in to the RM Unify Management Console Dashboard as a super admin.
Browse to the user and on the far right-hand side, select the Actions menu.
Click 'Change email address'.
Enter the desired email address and click Save.
Note: If you have several users to update (50 or more), please log a support call with RM Support in the usual way for assistance.
More Information
This issue will be resolved in a future release of RM Unify, although, we do not have any timescales for this at present.
