Summary
Explains why some staff users get RM Unify accounts unexpectedly provisioned when they have left the school and have been deleted from the Arbor MIS.
Symptoms
You have RM Unify MIS Sync in Create mode enabled. You have accounts unexpectedly provisioned for staff who are no longer at the school and so are marked as leavers (i.e. deleted accounts).
Cause
This issue is seen at establishments that have undergone an MIS migration from another MIS to Arbor.
During the MIS database migration, which is undertaken by the MIS providers (not by RM), the entire database of user records is migrated. This will include the 'off roll'/deleted users and the 'on roll'/active users. Arbor Support have advised that in some circumstances, the process of bulk importing the staff users from the old MIS may not set the date the user left the school. It has been advised that the staff user may also not get the required Arbor business roles assigned.
Procedure
Arbor Support are looking into this issue but, in the meantime, have advised that assigning a leave date in Arbor for the affected staff users will address the issue. When RM Unify MIS Sync completes the next overnight sync, the RM Unify users will be deleted according to their status in Arbor.
Possible Issues
If setting a leave date for the users does not resolve this issue, it is advised to check that the staff users have the correct business role assigned. If after the next overnight sync the issue is still not resolved, please raise a case with RM Support for further investigation.
