Summary
Explains why RM Unify will put all your N1, N2 and Reception users into the same groups.
Symptoms
You are using RM Unify MIS Sync and have noticed that all your N1, N2 and Reception year group users appear in each of the N1, N2 and Reception year groups displayed in the RM Unify Management Console.
For example, if you have 20 users in N1, 25 in N2 and 30 in Reception, each year group will display an overall 75 users.
Cause
This is as intended and is due to the way RM Unify is designed, principally for Primary, Secondary and Further Education students.
Although the N1, N2 and Reception groups are treated as distinct year groups in a school or nursery, within RM Unify, they are treated in the same way, i.e. as pre-education years before Year 1. This behaviour results in all the users appearing in all three groups.
Requirements
It is possible, however, to separate all the nursery users from the reception users by combining all the nursery users into a single year group in your MIS and naming it Nursery, or N. RM Unify will then process all the reception users into the Reception year group and all the nursery users into Nursery (or N).
