Published Date : 19 May 2022   Last Updated : 04 Oct 2024   Content Ref: TEC8560273

Symptoms

You have MIS Sync enabled in RM Unify, in either Create mode or Link mode. You need to understand which business roles in Arbor will ensure that your RM Unify staff accounts are provisioned with, or updated to, the correct role: Teaching Staff or Non-Teaching Staff.

Procedure

The current list of business roles that equate to a Teaching Staff user is as follows:

  • Art/Design Technician
  • Assistant Head Teacher
  • Creative Arts Specialist
  • Deputy Head Teacher
  • Executive Head Teacher
  • Head of Department
  • Head of Faculty
  • Head of House
  • Head of Year
  • Head Teacher
  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant
  • Instructor (including sports coach)
  • Language Support
  • Learning Mentor
  • Learning Support Assistant (for SEN pupils)
  • Literacy Worker
  • Minority Ethnic Support
  • Music Tutor
  • Nursery Assistant
  • Nursery Nurse
  • Peripatetic Teacher
  • Supply Teacher
  • Teacher
  • Teaching Assistant
  • Traveller Support
  • Youth Worker

Staff users without at least one of the above business roles will be provisioned as Non-Teaching Staff.

Possible Issues

Only Student, Teaching Staff and Non-Teaching Staff accounts can be provisioned via RM Unify MIS Sync in Create mode. Groupcall will not extract Governor MIS records to RM Unify in any situation.
