Summary
Explains why the same user change events are repeated in the RM Unify User Audit log.
Symptoms
The same change events for user(s) are shown as being processed repeatedly in the RM Unify User Audit log, usually at an interval of every five minutes.
Cause
Approximately every five minutes, the Network Agent reads the LastSyncTime registry key value, pulls down RM Unify user changes that have occurred since that date timestamp and updates the same key with a more recent date timestamp. If the Network Agent fails or is unable to update the LasySyncTime value, then it will continue to pull down all the user changes that have occurred since the current value of the registry key, even if it has already successfully processed them.
Requirements
To resolve the current incident, manually update the LastSyncTime registry key with a more recent value. If the issue re-appears, however, then a more detailed investigation of the Network Agent is required to find and address the underlying cause. If this is the case, please contact your usual network support provider for further assistance.
Procedure
Identify your Network Agent server
The Network Agent server is usually a domain controller, but to confirm this, check that:
in 'Programs and Features', RM Unify Network Agent is listed
in 'Services.msc', the RM Unify Network Agent Service is listed
Update the LastSyncTime registry key
On the Network Agent server, open Registry Editor.
Browse to 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\RM\RM Unify Network Agent'.
Right-click the registry key LastSyncTime and select Modify.
Set the value to the desired date and time from which to sync changes, e.g. '2021-04-02T14:12:41' will sync RM Unify users who have been updated since 2:12pm on 2 April 2021. Please note that the value must be in the format <yyyy-MM-ddTHH:mm:ss>, where time is specified in the 24-hour format and the double quotes (") are required.
Note: The Network Agent service reads the value of this registry key each time it requests user updates from RM Unify. There is no need to restart the RM Network Agent service.
