Admin is prompted for a Public Identifier code when adding Google Workspace domain to the RM Reseller Console
Published Date : 28 May 2020   Last Updated : 03 Oct 2024   Content Ref: TEC7311900

Symptoms

It is possible to add federated Google Workspace domains to RM's Google Reseller Console. This allows authorised RM Support staff to perform admin/management tasks and to perform troubleshooting diagnostics, for example, without the need to create a Google Workspace super admin account, or having to request super admin credentials.

As part of the federation process, during the installation of the RM Unify Google Workspace app, the admin is prompted to generate a transfer token in the Google Workspace Admin console, which is then used to authorise addition of the domain to the Reseller Console.

In some cases, however, the super admin may also be asked to additionally supply RM's Public Identifier code.

Procedure

  1. In the Google Admin page titled 'Retrieve transfer token', tick the box to confirm that you have read the terms and conditions.
  2. When the Enter Reseller's Public Identifier field becomes active, enter C03bdle3s.
  3. Click CONFIRM RESELLER IDENTIFIER and in the next window, click GENERATE TRANSFER TOKEN.
  4. Click COPY CODE, return to the RM Unify app's 'Set up' page (see image under the Symptoms section above) to paste the code into the Transfer Token field and click Next, Finish.

Checks

Once completed, Reseller Access will be enabled. You can view the status of this access by logging on to your Google Workspace domain as a super admin and navigating to the Google Admin console, Company profile, Profile, Reseller Access.

You may also see this issue where your Google Workspace domain is already federated to RM Unify and you are retrospectively adding the domain to the Reseller Console via an alternative method.
