The Apple Volume Purchase Programme (VPP) helps in getting apps and books into the hands of your iPad users quickly and easily with a Mobile Device Manager (MDM) solution or via Apple Configurator. If you purchase 20 or more apps or books you can get a 50% discount. These can be distributed via managed distribution, meaning you can assign apps to devices or users and also retrieve them for re-distribution. When the users no longer need the app or when they leave the school, you can then reassign it to a different user.

If you already have a VPP account you can sign in at the above address. However, if you are new to the service then go to https://school.apple.com to sign up for Apple School Manager which includes access to VPP and a number of new Apple services including Education Apple IDs and Device Enrolment.

If you wish to add paid apps to the deployment of iPad devices you will need to add credit to the Volume Purchase Programme (VPP) account. This can be achieved either with a school credit card or via a purchase order.

You will also need to include your VPP Apple ID when you place an order so that we and Apple can generate a redeem code which will be sent to you and you can enter this code into the VPP from the Account button at the top right-hand side of the screen.

Click Redeem VPP Credit.

In the Code field, enter the code you received and click Redeem. When you redeem this it will credit your VPP account.
