Summary
Details the steps required to link your existing Accelerated Reader or Accelerated Maths accounts to your RM Unify accounts.
Symptoms
If you are a school that uses Accelerated Reader or Accelerated Maths, you may connect your licences for these services with RM Unify and match your user accounts. The benefit in doing this is that you will gain single sign-on into these services through RM Unify.
Procedure
Log on to RM Unify and go to the App Library.
Click the Accelerated Reader or Accelerated Maths tile.
Read the presented information, including the Support Info and Privacy Info.
Click Buy; in reality you will be connecting to your existing licence/subscription.
Read the privacy statement and tick the box to show that you have read and understood it.
From the drop-down menu, choose 'Yes, I've already created accounts...' and click Next.
Install the app on to your chosen RM Unify Launch Pads. Launch Pads are displayed to different RM Unify roles and possibly Year Groups.
When an RM Unify user clicks the tile for the first time, they will be asked to enter their existing Accelerated Reader or Accelerated Maths account details for the service. RM Unify will match their account at this stage. When a user clicks the tile thereafter, they will be automatically logged on to their account.
Possible Issues
RM Unify account linked to the wrong Accelereated Reader account
If the user enters the wrong credentials in step 11 of the Procedure above, they can contact the Accelerated Reader developers, Renaissance Learning, who can remove the link - http://www.renlearn.co.uk/contact-us/. RM do not have access to the Accelerated Reader database.
