RM Unify AD Sync Configuration tool does not display actual year of entry (YOE) for students
Published Date : 18 Jul 2014   Last Updated : 04 Oct 2024   Content Ref: TEC4023792

Symptoms

In the Community Connect® 4 (CC4) RM Management Console (RMMC), your students have been set with a year of entry (YOE), e.g. 2018. When you see the user listed in the RM Unify AD Sync Configuration tool you see a different year in the YOE column of the student, e.g. 2019.

Procedure

This is by design. The YOE displayed in the RM Unify AD Sync Configuration tool depends on the YOE setting you applied in Service, Settings. This applies an offset value to each YOE uploaded to ensure students appear in the correct year group in RM Unify and are automatically moved up a year group with each new academic year. See the table below for expected results:

More Information

As an alternative to uploading year of entry from CC4 please consider RM Unify MIS Sync. MIS Sync has the ability to upload users' year, registration and teaching groups from your MIS into RM Unify and on to certain, compatible, connected apps.
