RM Unify AD Sync Configuration Tool - you cannot expand the establishment to add AD filters and role mappings
Published Date : 17 Jul 2014   Last Updated : 04 Oct 2024   Content Ref: TEC4021359

Symptoms

In the RM Unify AD Sync Configuration Tool, you have added your establishment under the RM Unify Registration node. You cannot expand this establishment to see the sub-nodes: AD Filters, Role Mappings and Users.

If the RM Unify AD Sync service is set to logging level LOG, the following event is logged:

RM Unify upload timer",INFO,"PerformWork","The establishment count in RM Unify (1) does not match the establishment count in the local database (0) for RM Unify Login <RM Unify establishment>. You should re-run the registration process."

where <RM Unify establishment> is the RM Unify establishment name showing under the RM Unify Registration node in the Configuration Tool.

Cause

This can occur when an establishment has not been registered i.e. it has been added as a new RM Unify registration and the Save button has been clicked only.

To successfully register an establishment you need to click the Save button and then the Register button.

Procedure

  1. Open the RM Unify AD Sync Configuration Tool.
  2. Under RM Unify Registration, click on your RM Unify establishment.
  3. Confirm you have entered the correct Organisation code and Registration code.
  4. Click Register.

Possible Issues

Default logging by RM Unify AD Sync Service
The default log level of the RM Unify AD Sync service is ERROR. To change the log level to LOG:
  1. Open the RM Unify AD Sync Configuration Tool.
  2. Click Service, Settings and change the log level to LOG.
  3. Click OK.
  4. Click Service, Stop and then Service, Start to restart the RM Unify AD Sync service.
  5. Revert the log level back to ERROR and restart the service to conserve disk space and minimise logging.
