The 'Last AD scan' and 'Last success' values does not accurately reflect the last scan or success time in RM Unify AD Sync

Symptoms

On a fully working installation of RM Unify AD Sync, when you click your establishment in the RM Unify AD Sync Configuration tool, the 'Last AD scan' field displays a date/time value that does not accurately reflect when the last AD scan was run. In the same tool, under Domain Controllers you also find that the 'Last success' field is not accurate.

Both values are an hour behind the actual last AD scan and last success. For example, the RM Unify AD Sync Configuration tool reports the last AD scan was run on 01/06/21 10:05:00, when in fact the actual last AD scan was run on 01/06/21 11:05:00.



Cause

This is a known issue when the date and time on the RM Unify AD Sync server is adjusted for Daylight Saving Time (DST), also known as British Summer Time (BST). This is approximately the period from end March to end October.



Procedure

The 'Last AD scan' and 'Last success' fields will report correctly when DST ends and the server date and time reverts back to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).
