Summary
Provides the steps to assemble the new RM MiniPC, MiniStand and mounting bracket.
Requirements
In order to assemble the new RM MiniPC and MiniStand you may need to remove the original stand from your monitor, as shown in the image below:
Procedure
Lay your monitor face down on a clean flat surface and locate the four VESA mount screw holes.
Align the standard VESA spaced holes on the front of the RM MiniStand with the rear of the monitor, then using a Phillips screwdriver tighten up the four longer mounting screws to secure it in place.
Upright the monitor and stand, with the screen facing away, identify the four bracket locating lugs at the rear of the stand.
If you are intending to use the security deskbolt solution, you will need to insert the bolt element before fitting the mounting bracket.
The mounting bracket is attached to the RM MiniPC. Using a Phillips screwdriver, undo the two silver screws from the rear of the casework and slide the bracket away from the chassis to release it.
Once the mounting bracket is free, you will find four S shaped apertures which slot onto the four lugs on the back of the stand allowing the bracket to hang behind the stand.
Hook the bracket into the rear of the stand, making sure that all four of the bracket locating lugs are attached correctly.
Turn the unit side on and tilt the screen all the way up to maximise access to the space where the bracket screws are to be fitted.
Using the provided allen key tool, fit and tighten the four security screws to secure the bracket in place.
Now the RM MiniPC chassis can slide into the mounting bracket on the rear of the monitor.
Secure the chassis within the bracket using the two silver casework screws and attach the display cable between the monitor and the RM MiniPC. Coil any excess cable at the base of the stand and secure with the provided zip tie.
Fit the Y power lead to both the RM MiniPC and monitor, then insert the network, mouse and keyboard connection into the relevant ports.
Attach the rear cable cover by slotting both the top and bottom plastic hooks into the corresponding metal loops on the rear of the mounting bracket.
Using the security screwdriver provided secure the cable cover in place with the two remaining security screws to complete the RM MiniPC assembly.
