RM Broadband - SSL Connect
Published Date : 29 Nov 2016   Last Updated : 29 Oct 2021   Content Ref: DWN5306849

Description

SSL Connect is an RM Broadband product that gives school staff secure access to the school network from anywhere with an Internet connection. SSL Connect is based on BIG-IP Edge client software from F5 Networks and is accessed through RM Unify. To use SSL Connect, you need to install the client software on each remote computer to enable it to connect to the VPN.

To do this, use the MSI (bigipcomponent_installer.msi) provided in the Download section below to install a browser plugin on the client computer (it is also possible to install the plugin through the browser, but this is not recommended).

Note: This is the second release of the documentation and MSI now supports a larger range of browsers.

  • For installation and setup instructions, please refer to the ssl_connect_admin_guide_v2.pdf file in the Download section below.
  • For end user instructions, please refer to the ssl_connect_quickstart_guide_v2.pdf file in the Download section below.
