Summary
Provides an MSI which needs to be installed on to your computer to connect with SSL Connect.
Description
SSL Connect is an RM Broadband product that gives school staff secure access to the school network from anywhere with an Internet connection. SSL Connect is based on BIG-IP Edge client software from F5 Networks and is accessed through RM Unify. To use SSL Connect, you need to install the client software on each remote computer to enable it to connect to the VPN.
To do this, use the MSI (bigipcomponent_installer.msi) provided in the Download section below to install a browser plugin on the client computer (it is also possible to install the plugin through the browser, but this is not recommended).
Note: This is the second release of the documentation and MSI now supports a larger range of browsers.

You will need AdobeŽ ReaderŽ installed in order to view this document. If you get a File Download box when clicking the floppy disk icon, then you do not have Adobe Reader installed. To download Adobe Reader, refer to DWN6001 in the Other Useful Articles section below.

In Microsoft Edge:
Right-click the disk icon and select 'Open link in new tab'.
The file opens in a new tab. If you wish to save the file, hover your mouse over the end of a page and click the disk icon ('Save a copy'). The Save As window is displayed and prompts for a location to save the download to, browse to the folder where you want to save it and click Save.
Go to the location where you have saved the file and open it.
In Google Chrome:
Right-click the disk icon and select 'Save link as'.
When the Save As window is displayed and prompts for a location to save the download to, browse to the folder where you want to save it and click Save.
When the download has finished and appears at the bottom of the screen, click the arrow alongside it and select Open.
To download the msi file
In Microsoft Edge:
Right-click the disk icon and select 'Open link in new tab'.
In the dialog box that appears at the bottom of the screen, click the arrow alongside Save and select 'Save as'. The Save As window is displayed and prompts for a location to save the download to, browse to the folder where you want to save it and click Save.
Go to the location where you have saved the file and open it.
